ISO 26000 is the International Standard giving guidance on social responsibility. The ISO is a network of the netional standards bodies of 163 countries. The development of ISO 26000 involved more than 450 participating experts and 210 observers from 99 ISO member countries and 42 liaison organisations.
It is not certifiable or prescriptive.
The only CSR reporting guidance standard by international consensus, it is intended for use by all organisations in both public and private sectors. ISO 26000 Guidance on Soial Responsibility standard provides the most comprehensive overview on seven (7) domains to report CSR on.
